- To run Nova and deliver your messages and calls.
- To keep accounts safe and limit abuse.
- To send account emails. We may also email news or offers, and you can unsubscribe from those at any time.
- Nova does not show ads or use analytics trackers.
groupWho can see what
- Other people can see your profile and online status.
- People in your chats can see what you send there.
- Other users do not see your email address or IP address.
- The people who run Nova can access stored data when needed to operate and protect the service.

- Choose who can message you, call you, send friend requests, and add you to groups.
- Turn off read receipts and the typing indicator.
- Block people, or appear offline with the Invisible status.
- See your signed-in devices and sign them out.
auto_deleteKeeping and deleting data
- We keep your data until it is removed.
- When you delete a message, it and its attached files are permanently removed from the server.
- When you change or remove a profile picture, banner or group picture, the old image is permanently removed from the server.
- Messages removed by moderators may be kept in an internal log.
- You can delete your account from Settings. Messages you already sent stay in chats under the name "Deleted user".

- If you reset a forgotten password, some older messages may become unavailable.
- No system is completely secure, so we can't promise that nothing will ever go wrong.

- Use a long password that you don't use anywhere else.
- Turn on two-factor authentication.
- Check your devices in Settings and sign out any you don't recognize.
- Never share your password, codes, or password reset links.
